I know your work isnīt related to Star Wars and I didnīt mean to imply that;also I know that the statement isnīt ENTIRELY wrong, still itīs also more than just not entirely true (for me at least). Since McQuarrie designed the first trilogy nearly alone, and through that was such a major influence on all science fiction design after Star Wars,he was just too important to just leave him out when stating that someone did the creature design for the Star Wars movies.Just think 50% of the truth is more than just a minor little detail. I canīt figure a real good way to say that right..really didnīt mean to offend you or even make such a big thing out of it,Iīm not raging around here.Itīs just about the facts and I just found them important and wanted to say it.The fact that Iīm such a huge fan of McQuarrie just gave more weight to those facts for me.Maybe look at it like you have a favorite comic and someone stated the one who drew it as its inventor without mentioning the author of the story..still dunno how to make it really clear, please just know I didnīt mean to attack you.
Do you usually go around bluntly demanding that people change things that aren't entirely wrong in the first place? Ralph's work is amazing, yes, but face it: Terryl's creature designs far surpass anything Ralph did for OT from space slug to ewoks. We all know the prequels suck but give credit where credit is due.
P.S. to the first reply:Whatever rudeness or bluntness you seemed to discover in my original comment,it might have been a result of me thinking it werenīt a big deal to add that (imho important)detail to the AC. Seems like Iīm wrong there.
Itīs not about the Prequels for me,Iīm one of the rare kind that DOESNīT think they suck,in fact I like the design even more than that of the old trilogy and ESPECIALLY for the creature design.Itīs not even that much about Star Wars at all,I just think when saying someone designed the creatures of Star Wars,McQuarrieīs role in that is still too big to just not mentioning him at all,the more since it sounds like Terryl designed the OT as well. So actually,it was about exactly what you told me to do:Giving credit where credit is due. By the way,I donīt remember DEMANDING to change that [artistīs] comment,I believe I asked for or suggested that.I must have sounded very aggressive though so I apologize for that;Iīm a bit touchy when facts are left away or deemed to be unimportant, and me being a die hard fan of McQuarrie didnīt make it better in that case. But even otherwise I wouldīve found it important enough to mention.Itīs like talking about the history of nuclear power and only mentioning Marie Curie while leaving out her husband...something like that.I didnīt mean to be be a bitchy little fanboy.
